Manta, a giant manta ray shaped roller coaster, is the new mega-attraction at SeaWorld, and it will take guests on a journey from the awe of watching rays in an underwater flight to the sensation of actually being a ray.
Open since May 28, the Memorial Day, at SeaWorld, San Diego, Manta promises to inspire riders with amazing underwater animal habitats and take them on an exhilarating ride on a coaster shaped like a giant manta ray.
SeaWorld park is bringing new attractions to guests every year and this year’s offer combine the thrill and excitement of a coaster, with the educational and entertaining value of a marine-life exhibition.
Manta will also feature a unique “launch station” where the participants will start the ride enclosed in a launch tunnel with larger-than-life images of rays projected on a big screen. Riders will also enjoy the graceful beauty of bat rays and fishes.
This roller coaster is above all an amazing and very interesting introduction to the world of the rays.
The below-water viewing area includes eight acrylic windows and a reef design. The above-water interaction area allows guests the experience of touching and feeding the rays.
