‘Transformers: The Ride-3D’ is the new attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood, opened since May.
“Blurring the line between fiction and reality”, the amusement combines original 3D-HD media with flight simulation technology and cutting edge special effects. Guests will be invited to enjoy an experience unlike any other at Universal Studios Hollywood. “This ride is going to blow [participants] away”, said Delio Tramontozzi, responsible for the visual effects and animation at Industrial Light & Magic.
Based on the popular 2007 motion picture, directed by Michael Bay, this mind-blowing new adventure puts visitors in the middle of the ultimate war zone and leads the journey through Transformers’ story – an ancient struggle on Earth between two extraterrestrial clans, the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons, with a clue to the ultimate power held by a young teenager.
The dynamic thrill ride will tell the original Transformers story using original, photo-realistic 3D-HD media, sophisticated special effects and one of the most elaborate roaming flight simulator ride systems ever created. Combining high-tech elements with an epic tale, this new attraction will be Universal Studios Hollywood’s most ambitious ride ever created.
Guests must be at least 102 cm tall to ride and children from 102 to 122 cm must be accompanied by a supervising companion (14 years or older). Prices: Front of line pass $129; VIP Experience $269.
